From the time of the first recorded discovery of the Cape of Good Hope by Bartholomew Diaz in 1488, seafarers looked forward to the sight of Table Mountain. Today, 500 hundred years later Table Mountain and Cape Town remain two of the world's most famous landmarks and sought after destinations. Cape Town is the gateway to the diverse splendors of the Cape and southern Africa. There are a wide variety of accommodation establishments in the region, from luxurious hotels to guesthouses, B&B establishments and backpacker lodges. Our preferred venues are offered on this website.
Cape Town is the springboard to the Garden Route of the Eastern Cape and Route 62, which meanders through the Little Karoo, making for an interesting circuit from Cape Town through to the Ostrich Capital of the World, Oudtshoorn, onwards to Knysna and the wildlife areas close to Port Elizabeth. With fascinating scenery, interesting fauna and flora, the Cape has one of the world's richest plant biomes in its unique fynbos and the flora of Namaqualand - stunning geomorphology, in the twisted fold mountains between the coastal plains and the Karoo Basin and the beauty of the Cape West Coast with it's pretty fishing villages dotted around.
Here we assist with accommodation and suggested itineraries and activities, all offering the more interesting aspects of this wonderful southernmost part of Africa.
